G-Stint ist ein Produkt von KWS18. Verantwortlicher im Sinne der Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO) ist:
KWS18 · Inhaber: H. Strohschnieder · Karl-Wilker-Str. 18 · 10317 Berlin · E-Mail: [email protected]
B. Instagram, Downloads, eigene Cloud). G-Stint übermittelt dabei nichts eigenständig an Dritte.
G-Stint is a product of KWS18. The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
KWS18 · Owner: H. Strohschnieder · Karl-Wilker-Str. 18 · 10317 Berlin · Email: [email protected]
G-Stint is deliberately local-only: all recorded data is processed and stored exclusively on your device. There is no account, no server and no cloud.
KWS18 never collects, transmits or stores any of your drive data on its own systems. The app contains no analytics or tracking tools, no ads, no cookies and no profiling. The only exception is the optional feedback form on our website, which processes what you voluntarily submit there (see section 8) and never touches your drive data.
Processing takes place exclusively within your personal sphere on your own device (Art. 2 (2) GDPR). KWS18 has no access to this data at any time.
Android’s built-in backup feature may copy the local app data into your personal Google device backup. That backup belongs to you and your Google account alone, KWS18 has no access and receives no copy. You can manage or disable it in the Android settings (Google → Backup & restore).
The app connects to the internet in exactly one case: when you open the map in a drive detail view. Map tiles are then loaded from CARTO, based on map data from OpenStreetMap. This necessarily transmits your IP address to those providers; CARTO and the OpenStreetMap Foundation are themselves responsible for that processing:
The map is only loaded when you open it. The generated share image contains only a stylized route line, no third-party map data.
When you share or export a share image or backup, you alone decide where the file goes (e.g. Instagram, Downloads, your own cloud). G-Stint does not transmit anything to third parties on its own. Backup files live wherever you saved them; they remain entirely under your control.
Your drives are stored until you delete them yourself: individually from the drive list, or everything via SETTINGS → DATA → DELETE ALL DATA. Uninstalling the app also removes the locally stored data.
The feedback form on gstint.app lets you voluntarily send us feedback about the app. Only what you enter is processed: your message text, an optional email address for a reply, and an optional screenshot (PNG, JPEG or WebP, max. 5 MB).
This information is stored on our server and only used to improve the app; it is not shared with third parties. The legal basis is your voluntary consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Feedback is deleted once it is no longer needed; for access or deletion contact us at [email protected]. Using the form is voluntary and has no effect on your use of the app.
In addition, submitting the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated submissions (bots). Technical characteristics such as your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Cloudflare (Cloudflare Europe S.à r.l. et Cie, S.E.N.C., Luxembourg) and processed there briefly. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in effective protection against automated abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Further information: https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/privacypolicy/.
You have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21).
KWS18 does not process your drive data on its own systems, so you exercise these rights over it directly in the app: view (DRIVES), export (BACKUP) and delete (DATA). Your feedback form submissions (section 8) can likewise be viewed or deleted by emailing [email protected].
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For KWS18 (Berlin, Germany) this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BlnBDI), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
